Tractor Ride.... I Think Yes!!

Today was Brooklyn's first ride in the tractor. She had so much fun with all of the new things she got to see. She really enjoyed sitting on the steering wheel and helping Tyson drive. She's going to be a farm girl through and through! I would turn her around on the seat so she could look out the back window to see what Tyson was doing. She saw the window wiper and tried to grab it several times. Oh it was so cute and so much fun!!



4 Months

Brooklyn is 4 months old today! She is learning so fast and talking up a storm. She'll even giggle if she is in the right mood. She changes so much from month to month. Not so much in looks but in personality and alertness. She develops more and more of her personality every day, and we are enjoying getting to know her.

She has even found her toes today!! She loves to play and suck on them. I am constantly having to change her socks because they are soaking wet. It was so much fun to see her face when she figured it out. Total excitement was what I saw in her smile. Oh how I love this girl!!!

Mmmmm..... Good Binky

This is Brooklyn's new thing. She loves to chew on her binky and suck on it upside down. If she isn't holding on to the binky while she is sucking on it, it will move in and out of her mouth. She's really good at keeping it in her mouth too. You would think that it would fall out as it moves in and out of her mouth but she manages to keep it in her mouth. It is quite entertaining!! Everyone who sees her sucking on it like this loves it!!



3 Months!!

Our baby girl is 3 months old today!! I can't believe how fast these past three months have gone. She has been so much fun. She is learning so quickly and so alert. She wants to see everything that is around her and she is very inquisitive. She doesn't want to miss out on anything, so if there is a lot of noise or commotion, she has to see what is going on. Here are a few pictures of her. She does a lot of different poses and faces so it is hard to choose just one to post. She is my little angel.

 

2 Months

Brooklyn is 2 months old today!! I love being able to dress her up and take pictures. She is so cute! I am loving being her mom, I have such a wonderful little girl that I have the opportunity to spend all day with. She is such a blessing in our lives!

Her smiles are heartwarming! Each and every smile I get is so worth the long days and nights, as well as the crying. I love her so much! I can't believe how blessed we are to have her in our lives. I am grateful everyday for the spirit she has brought into our homes and the joy she brings into our everyday lives! Here is one of her smiles that is so wonderful!!

Brooklyn's Blessing

We blessed Brooklyn today!! It was a great day and a fabulous weekend. We had so many people come up and we loved having the company. The blessing circle was big with both families. I was excited to have all of my brothers in the circle. Shawn and Julie weren't able to come up where Julie is so close to her due date, but the other four of my brothers were able to be in the circle.

I asked my mom and Tyson this morning if it was expected for the mom of the baby being blessed to get up and bear their testimony. They both said that the majority of the moms do but that I didn't have to. I decided that I was going to get up since I hadn't ever done it before. I was a nervous wreck all morning. Brooklyn could feel my nerves so I really had to work at calming down.

The blessing was great. Tyson did such a wonderful job. When he held Brooklyn up after the blessing, he looked like such a proud father. My mom commented on it and said he looked so happy. Brooklyn looked so cut in her dress and tractor socks. She didn't fuss at all during her blessing, which was great because I got to hear the whole thing.

My plan was to be the first one up to bear my testimony so I could relax through the rest of Sacrament Meeting. However, three other people made it up before me. Tyson told me if I was going to get up there, I would want to get up quickly and wait on the stand. He knew I wanted to be the first, so I could get it over with. I decided to get up and wait on the stand so I wouldn't chicken out. The standing up and walking up to the stand was the hardest part. I cried at the beginning of my testimony but after a few seconds I had a feeling of peace wash over me and I relaxed. When I was done, I walked back to my seat and felt amazing!! I didn't realize how special it was to bear my testimony. I felt the spirit so strong. Jason was able to hold Brooklyn from the time I went up to the stand to the end of the meeting. He was such a happy uncle!

After Sacrament Meeting, everyone went to Tyson's parents' house for lunch. We all had fun sitting around and talking. Everyone wanted to hold Brooklyn so I was able to sit and eat with everyone else. Brooklyn was really good with everyone that held her and they all enjoyed it so much!

I am so grateful that Brooklyn came into our lived. She is such a blessing and brings such a wonderful spirit with her. I look forward to spending each day with her!

1 Month

Today our little girl turned 1 month!! I can't believe it. She's growing up so fast. She's happy and healthy as usual!! This is the dress that my mom gave her and it looks absolutely adorable on her. Tyson's sister Kari made the blanket that she is sitting on. I just LOVE being a mom to the best little girl ever. Here's her one month picture, in one of the dresses I made for her.
